Meeting Maya

My dad and stepmother spent the past few days in St. Peter, getting to meet Maya for the first time.  They came down Monday afternoon and joined us all for lunch in our new apartment before we headed out to get them settled in at the cabin.  Maya was a little shy at first, but she soon warmed up to grandpa Tom and lola Maria (lola means grandma in Filipino).

We did a little exploring around Gustavus, St. Peter, and Mankato during the day (when Maya wasn't napping...she had some serious power naps during their visit.  Yesterday she napped for a total of 5 hours during the day...and still managed to sleep through the night!).  One night we had a nice grill out at the cabin with some brats from Schmitt's Meat Market and grilled veggies from the garden (zucchini, summer squash, onions, sweet peppers, hot peppers, and tomatoes).  Last night we went out to the winery for pizza and wine tasting.
Mostly, though, it was a lot of sitting around and letting Maya entertain us with her tricks.

Looks like a fun time meeting grandparents. And wow, Sleepy Sleeperson! She must be growing!
