Sorry for the absence. We've been busy the past few days. On Thursday we helped throw an Olympics-themed baby shower for our friends, Brian and Jody. We divided our usual Thursday evening crew into two teams and made them compete in a series of events. One highlight was the bottle relay. One member of each team had to make a 2-ounce bottle of Tang, drink it, wash the bottle, and pass it off to the next teammate. Who knew, but Brian is VERY good with a bottle!
We also did a game where we cut the faces off of baby pictures from magazines and inserted the faces of celebrities. It was surprisingly hard to identify them!
On Friday, we took off for Rochester for a wedding. Brian led the band for the service of Emily Kastler. He did a great job!
Now we're back in St. Peter and it's blizzarding. It really doesn't seem that bad outside. A little windy, maybe. But, apparently they've even closed down Hwy 169, so it must be a lot worse south of us. Oh well, it's a nice excuse for an evening at home!
