More vacay

After our ski weekend in Bend, there was still more vacation! We moved across the border to Vancouver, Washington to spend some time with Heidi and Colin and their three kids. Shiloh was born in November and so this was our first time meeting him.
On Tuesday night, Heidi and I met up with some college friends while Brian and Colin took the kids geocaching. Here are Payton and Ellie finding their first "treasure." They each picked up a little trinket from the cache.
We took the kids to Ikea on Wednesday because it was pretty wet outside. It's amazing how much fun you can have just walking around a store. Plus, they have free child care, so the kids got to play while we walked around.

My friend Anya and her daughter Kylia drove down from Seattle on Wednesday to spend a few days with us. On Thursday, all of us (me, Brian, Heidi, Anya, Payton, Ellie, Shiloh, and Kylia) drove out to Multnomah Falls for a short hike and some sightseeing. It was a gorgeous day! Here is a view of the Columbia Gorge from I-84.
Here we are at the bottom of the falls getting sprayed by water...Brian and I hiked with the kids up to the bridge you see in this photo.
Even though it was sunny, it was pretty cold. Most of us went back to the car for lunch, but Payton and Brian set off to find another cache. Here they are on their off-trail adventure.

The kids (and Brian) played outside with bubbles that afternoon and then Amy and Jason joined us for dinner. It was so fun for me to have so many of my friends in one place!

Thanks to the Lacey and the Rush families for hosting us this week! I miss you all already!

That bridge looks scary! Glad you're back safe and sound. It sounds like you had a great time with old friends!
