I got a little cut off by our plane boarding and didn't get to finish properly blogging about day 2 on the mountain.
These are trees! The wind blows snow and it builds up on the side of the tree. If you look closely you can see a branch sticking out of the top of the close tree.

Now a shot of our ski bunnies. We were on such a nice easy trail and this view came along. I even had fun on the trail, mostly because I was going off the path.

On the top of the mountain it was very windy. The snow conditions were not the greatest, but I had to go to the summit and ski where there are no trees....but some rocks.

OK so I posted this picture before, but I wanted to narrate. Jason is in the shot and those are snow covered trees that look like a spine along the ridge. This was a fun area to ski and we found lots of powder back in these valleys.

Before we skied the second day we woke up to this view of Mt.Bachelor. (16 miles away)

Sticking with the Mountain theme...here's a shot of a mountain (Baker? St. Helens?) from the first plane.

And here's a shot of Rainier from our second plane...

Finally some refreshing green, flowers, and patio lights.

I'm out of time again. Here's the last interesting picture. How many times do you fly and get a picture of your own shadow?

I'm just so happy about this entire blog. :) I feel so joyful just thinking back to that time in Bend with you and Kate! Great pictures, Brian. Thanks for being the photo documentary expert.
I saw that big bunker first, then the mountain.
(Your mother has golf on the brain!)
That first picture is awesome but it kinda looks like something leftover after a volcanic eruption.
Did you have to beg Kate for the window seat?
