Nothing important

There's not a lot going on in these parts. We got a light dusting of snow this morning, which was a little disturbing for me (Kate) and a little exciting for Brian. He bounced out of bed this morning for work...he must have sensed the snow in his bones! This is homecoming for Gustavus and I got to serve as a judge for the homecoming parade this morning. It was pretty fun but also pretty cold.

We made a few more purchases for the house. It's kind of funny because we are trying to buy everything on sale and with Brian's discount so we get a double good price. Brian gets a discount on an amount up to 90% of his previous week's pay. That means we do a lot of math in Menards trying to figure out what things we can buy that add up to the right amount. Luckily, most of the Menards sales last longer than a week! Last week we bought three doors (bathroom and bedroom) and three mini-blinds. This week we went back for three more doors (laundry room and utility room) and four mini-blinds. Slow and steady!
