The Holy Family

Yep, we got suckered into playing Mary, Joseph and Jesus in the church nativity play this year.  When the Sunday school leaders told the kids that Maya Knutson would be playing baby Jesus, they all said, "but she's a GIRL!" 

Maya did great today, though.  She was wide awake for the first service and fell asleep halfway during the second.  One of the "angels" behind us told us afterwords that she fell asleep because they were singing so beautifully.  Other funny highlights included a little one year old girl wandering up to pat "Jesus'" head in the middle of the play, two angels pulling on the tie on the back of Brian's costume while whispering "don't worry, he can't feel it!", and one angel saying to another who announced he was tired, "you just have to keep going!"
