Brian's projects

Now that the cabin is mostly finished and winter is here (kind of...), Brian has had time to take on a few artistic projects.  We were able to get a few of his photos enlarged to poster size (20x30) during the cyber-Monday sales.  Now (with inspiration from my friend Heidi) he is mounting them on canvas (which he built because they don't sell them in the same size as the prints).  Here is the first one he finished...a view of lake Emily in the fall.  This is the view we have from the cabin, though the photo was taken while he was out in the boat.

The other project he is working on is building a "bedroom" for Maya, who currently sleeps in the living room.  Brian came home with three mismatched doors the other day that he got on clearance from Menards.  He's already attached hinges to make a little room.  He has plans to paint it during Christmas break when all the students are gone.  So far it works great.  It helps keep the light and sound out so that Maya can still sleep while we are in the living room or kitchen.
The final photo is one of Maya enjoying a new toy.  Now that she has figured out how to use her hands, the rattle is much more fun.  Of course, like everything else these days, it goes straight in her mouth!

Betcha all the other little 4 month olds are jealous of Maya's little room.

Beautiful picture! I think you could decorate many walls with Brian's photo art.

That's the most beautiful picture of my favorite time of year! When is Brian changing careers?!

Maya's new room must be the present day version of sleeping in the dresser drawer.
