Raise the roof!

We had a good, old fashioned barn raising this afternoon with the help of a few good friends.

The boys had fun with power tools...

And with climbing around in the rafters...Before the families showed up with dinner...
The Anderson girls brought dad more tools from home...

And for awhile, there was quite an audience...


The boys took a break for dinner and then went back to put up the last few trusses.

Seriously, it is a HUGE relief to have this part of the job done! There is still a lot of work to do, but this was a big chunk. Our goal is to get this project done before the baby comes, and we are down to our last seven weeks. Brian has tomorrow off, so I think we will head back out there to work some more.
