The end of an era

Today marks the first day in nearly 13 months that I haven't nursed Maya.  Remember all that trouble with nursing in the first few months?  (If you don't, just look back at the posts from late September and October last year for proof)  Well, I'm proud to say that my stubbornness won out in the end and we made it over a year!  For the last few weeks, she's only been nursing once a day and having a bottle with frozen milk at night.  We used up the last of the frozen milk last week and we dropped the morning feed today.  It was definitely harder for me to give up than it was for her...although, now that I think about it, maybe that's why she's been so grumpy this evening.  Anyway, I know you don't really want to hear about my breastfeeding musings, but I just needed to mark the accomplishment.
