Weekend fun!

We took a break from working on the garage this weekend to head over to Rochester for a weekend full of fun. On Saturday, I attended a Pampered Chef wedding shower for Tony and Tricia in the morning and a bachelorette party for Tricia at night. I got to spend most of the day hanging out with Mindy, which was definitely a highlight of the weekend for me! Brian and Jon hung out with the kids while we were at the shower and then, when we got home, they headed out to register for the Eco-tri and to get some practice on the course.
On Sunday the boys got up early and headed out for the race. Mindy, the kids, and I took off shortly after. We met up with Cher and Laur at the starting line. Here are the boys (and Natalie) before the race.

What a hottie!

The cheering section is ready to go!

Starting line for the four mile kayak...

After the boys were out of sight, we jumped in the vans and headed over to Camp Victory to see the next two events...mountain biking and a trail run.
It was a lot of fun because there were several places along the course where we could see them and cheer them on. They all ended up doing great. Brian placed 16th overall (out of 65 racers) and improved his time by a minute (he finished in 2 hours and 12 minutes). Here's Brian near the finish line...
Harvey enjoyed watching the race and cheering people on (and eating snacks!)...

And an "after" shot...
This little girl was holding my favorite sign of the day...
After a late lunch at Subway, we went over to Willow Hill for a shower and nap. On our way home we stopped at a new ice cream store in Rochester--Flapdoodles (delicious!), the tux store so Brian could get measured for the wedding, and Kasson to pick up the rest of our stuff.

It was a packed weekend, but very fun.

Thanks so much for coming for the shower! I hope you had a good time even though it was a little crazy...

Next year I'll be with the cheering section for the Eco Tri!

I think there had to be more than two days in your weekend to get that all in. You must have been beat!

(I missed this post earlier!)

We had so much fun with you guys during all of the activities this weekend and LOVED having you stay overnight at our house, too (lots of quality time!) Natalie keeps asking when you can come stay again. Next time there will be 3 of you! :)
