We had perfect weather for our lake-filled Saturday. In the morning, Brian and I drove up to Waconia to visit my dad, who is in town for the week. We started with a tour of the cemetery (dad likes to show me where the fam is buried, just so someone besides him knows) followed by lunch at a Mexican restaurant. Then we went down to the marina and rented a little boat. I steered us around Lake Waconia while Brian and dad trolled for fish. Apparently, there are no fish in Lake Waconia, because they didn't even get a nibble in the two hours we were out there. It was still fun, though, being out in the nice weather and checking out the fancy houses. Here we are in the boat. You might notice that my life jacket is a little messed up. The real funny part is that neither one of us noticed it until Tony pointed it out when I posted the picture on facebook. Ha!

After that, we headed south to meet up with our Head Resident friends for dinner and more lake time at their family cabin on Lake Francis in Elysian. Brian got to ski a little (now it's in his system and he wants to go back on Sunday to ski again!). After a very yummy dinner of sloppy joes, we all piled into the boat for a sunset cruise around the lake. Here's Brian in the water. Jordan is helping him get set to ski.

Here he goes!

Here are some of the women and children bundled up in the front of the boat. It wasn't actually that cold, but with the wind from the boat, it was nice to have some blankets to snuggle under.

And a beautiful sunset!
