We took a fast, but fun, trip to Rochester for Thanksgiving. Brian worked Wednesday and Friday, so we left St. Peter on Wednesday afternoon. Our first stop was dinner with Jon and Mindy at a nice restaurant in Rochester. Maya did great and let us sit for 2 1/2 hours to enjoy our meal and the company.
The Knutson's had the usual big spread for us on Thanksgiving day. We managed to take only one photo during our entire trip. Here is Brian's grandpa and Maya. He is the baby whisperer and Maya happily slept in his arms for over an hour!
We headed back home on Thursday evening so that Brian could be back in time to get a good night's rest before an early morning Black Friday workday at Menards. Maya and I also enjoyed some Black Friday shopping. She did great and it was actually one of my best Black Friday shopping days ever. Thanks to the midnight openings, most of the stores were calm by the time I got there at 6-7 am. In fact, the only place I had to wait in line was Menards! I got almost everything on my list, Maya didn't have a melt down, and I got carry out help from a very nice Menards employee :)
After a long Friday, Brian settled in for a long weekend off (Sat-Mon). With nothing to work on at the cabin and nowhere to be, Brian will get a taste of the day to day life around the house. It consists of...
