Weekend alone

I'm blogging mostly because I'm bored. Brian went to Rochester this weekend to get ready for the Three Sticks show next weekend (you should go!). I was planning on going with, but ended up getting a nasty cold midway through the week. I made it through my classes with the help of a lot of tea and honey, but by Friday afternoon I was totally beat. I slept through most of the weekend and now feel much better. It's amazing what a couple of 12-hour nights of sleep plus 3-hour naps will do! Now that I'm feeling better, though, I'm going a little stir crazy. Too bad Brian won't be home until much later.

On Friday night we watched the movie "Up." Has anyone else seen it? I cried at least three different times, which seems a little silly considering it is an animated movie. Brian just laughed at me, but there must be others out there who cried! Despite my tears, it was great and we both recommend it.

We've got that movie on our wish list (or at least I do!). It's amazing how attached you can become to animated characters.

Oh my gosh, bawled my eyes out...on the train from Portland to Seattle!!! (though I'm sure that does not surprise you about me) I thought it was a good movie, though not suitable for kids...sad!

Glad you're feeling better - sleep does wonders! ;)

I cried and laughed a lot. I thought it was hilarious. And my kids LOVED it! They especially loved that his wife was named Ellie. It was a bit heavy at times, but it was great to be able to explain those moments to Payton and Ellie. I thought the message was great. That there is adventure and purpose in every moment of life, even the "small" ones.

Yes, we cried too. It was very sweet though.
