Sunday in the Park

We ended a very lazy weekend with a fun afternoon in the park. Well, I guess that technically it was a fun afternoon in our backyard since we were on one of the athletic fields on campus. Brian rounded up a group of our head resident buddies to play with the kite. It was a beautiful afternoon and a lot of fun to hang out with friends outside. Here are some photos from the day...

The boys were enthralled by the kite...until the boy with the soccer balls showed up!

If you look closely at this picture, you can see that Brian's feet aren't on the ground.

Jordan was a natural...even with kids underfoot!

Here's Heather getting strapped in. It's a good thing that her harness was good and tight because she had some pretty strong gusts.

Brian is explaining the "steering" to Andy. That's the tennis bubble in the background, in case you were wondering.

There's no pictures of me flying, but I did go out again. The wind was a little stronger than the first time I flew, so I did more screaming. Brian came and held on to the back of my harness so it wouldn't drag me across the field.

Great afternoon!

Oooh, that last picture is beautiful! We've got some howling wind going on this morning (4 AM). Too dark to fly but you'd get some airtime I bet!

Impressive sky with that sun, clouds and RED kite. Yesterday the wind here would have carried you away!
